The Boards of Directors for Santa Clara Rural Fire Protection District (SCFD) and Lane Fire Authority (LFA) are currently considering establishing an ORS 190 Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA). Under an IGA, the two districts would work together to provide all fire district services. Consolidating resources would allow SCFD and LFA to provide a higher level of service to their residents without raising taxes.

Information is provided about IGAs in general, successful examples of local fire service IGAs, and the reasons why SCFD and LFA staff think an IGA is needed. Copies of IGA-related documents are available for review and download.
SCFD and LFA welcome comments from the public about this potential IGA. If you would like to make a comment, you are encouraged to attend an SCFD or LFA Board meeting. The next SCFD Board meeting is scheduled for August 8, 2017 at 7:15 PM. If you cannot attend a meeting, you are welcome to submit IGA-related comments on our IGA Public Comment webpage.
